Growing Lives

Derventio Housing Trust Growing Lives Logo Growing Lives is an engaging programme of learning and support that has been specially designed for people who are unemployed and need a skills and confidence boost.

There are plenty of learning activities for people to get involved in, including bike club, computer suite, art, crafts, cooking, a Men in Sheds group and growing and planting in our urban garden.

Everyone who takes part will benefit from:

  • Three Growing Lives participants in the garden New practical skills and knowledge
  • Better physical and mental health
  • One to one mentoring and support
  • More confidence
  • New friends and opportunities

The ultimate goal of Growing Lives is to support people to build the skills and tools they need to make long-term changes to their lives, empowering them to set and pursue their own personal goals and reach their potential.

Growing Lives is based at our Cotmanhay site in the heart of Ilkeston. The postcode is DE7 8HT.
